Team news

Kosuke Saito: Head and left-shoulder impacts reported; clearance unresolved

A concussion substitution creates a midfield clearance question. Morita was the immediate replacement, not a confirmed Round 14 starter.

Published 2 Nov 2026Sources →
Team news

Sodai Hasukawa: Carried off injured against Kyoto

A centre-back availability question. Check the replacement pairing and current fitness rather than treating the injury exit as a diagnosis.

Published 31 Oct 2026Sources →

My thinking

Verdy's two wins change the mood. The public Targma introduction reports that Saito struck his head and hurt his left shoulder before his concussion substitution. Morita replaced him. Neither the protocol event nor that report establishes Saturday clearance. Hayashi completed the match after his earlier injury exit.

The angle. Compare Shimizu's available centre-backs with Verdy's midfield options. A concussion substitution establishes the protocol event, not clearance for Saturday.

What im watching. Saito's clearance, Morita's workload and Hasukawa's condition.

Daiya Tohno: Fitness improving after57-minute start and goal

Jordy Croux: Left-thigh injury withdrawal corroborated by official review

A possible wide attacking change. The withdrawal is evidence to follow up, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Published 1 Nov 2026Sources →

My thinking

Marinos found four goals, but the next team needs a closer look. Amano had a concussion substitution and Croux went off with a left-thigh concern. Tohno's 57-minute start and improving fitness give them another useful option.

The angle. Check who supplies the creative and wide roles if Amano or Croux miss out. Tohno's increasing minutes help the options, but dont establish 90-minute readiness.

What im watching. Amano's clearance, Croux's medical update and Tohno's workload. Named Targma subscriber reporting says Tsunoda has resumed full training, which adds a possible defensive option without establishing match clearance.

Kyoto Sanga: away in Vietnam against Cong An Ha Noi

89 hours between scheduled kickoffs. Check minutes and recovery after the Asian game. Congestion does not prove rotation.

Schedule checked 2 Nov 2026Sources →

My thinking

Kyoto's returning forwards change the attack. Nagoya get them after a Vietnam trip, so id wait for the Asian minutes before deciding how much of that improvement carries over.

The angle. Compare Kyoto's frontline minutes in Asia with the XI at Nagoya. Keep attacking quality separate from the travel question.

What im watching. Elias and Tulio's workload. Takamine and Sato have served their listed Round 13 bans. That clears those restrictions, not their selection.

Thiago Santana: Competitive return and goal against Verdy

His scoring substitute return restores an experienced striker option. Compare his workload and role with Jonathan Junior before projecting the next start.

Published 1 Nov 2026Sources →

My thinking

Avispa ended Shinya Tsukahara's contract on 3 November. The club says Yusuke Murakami will take charge of Fukuoka against Nagasaki on 7 November. Thats the selection change to watch after the 3-0 defeat. Santana's scoring substitute return gives Nagasaki another option, but doesnt settle the starting place.

Official coaching source: Avispa Fukuoka, 3 November ↗

The angle. Check Murakami's first selection alongside Santana's workload and Jonathan Junior's place. Dont carry the previous hierarchy forward as a confirmed XI.

What im watching. Fukuoka's first selection under Murakami. The club notice names him for the Nagasaki match.

Kashiwa Reysol: at home against Daejeon

93 hours between scheduled kickoffs. Check minutes and recovery after the Asian game. Congestion does not prove rotation.

Schedule checked 2 Nov 2026Sources →

My thinking

Kashiwa's 4-0 win and Kawasaki's six-goal game pull the eye towards goals. Nagai started against Daejeon on 3 November, with Kojima an unused substitute. Kojima is back in the matchday squad, but that gives us no playing minutes or confirmed change of starting goalkeeper.

The angle. Compare Kashiwa's actual midweek workload with Kawasaki's defensive personnel. Keep Kojima's squad inclusion separate from a playing return. Recent scorelines alone are a poor totals model.

What im watching. The next goalkeeper choice. Nagai started on 3 November and Kojima remained on the bench.

A completed 90-minute appearance restores a verified playing option after the earlier concussion substitution. Check recovery and the next selection without assuming a guaranteed start.

Published 24 Oct 2026Sources →

My thinking

This is Kobe's listed home fixture at the National Stadium, so a normal Kobe home split is a poor shortcut. Iino completed 90 minutes on 3 November and Hamasaki played 69, giving Kobe verified playing options after their earlier absences. Miyamoto is suspended for 8 November. Hayakawa's clearance is still unconfirmed, while Katayama's latest public Targma introduction mentions muscular trouble without establishing current training or readiness.

The angle. Kobe's returning options strengthen the available rotation, but their Tuesday minutes also need recovery. Compare that with Urawa's defensive cover without treating Hayakawa or Katayama as confirmed Round 14 absences.

What im watching. Hayakawa's clearance and Katayama's current training. Iino's full match and Hamasaki's 69 minutes establish participation, not the next start. Miyamoto's one-match J1 ban is confirmed.

Gamba travel to Korea before the derby. Myojin confirms Welton was injured, with no recovery period known. Ichimori's listed Round 13 ban is served, while Cerezo still have fitness questions around Kagawa and Yokoyama.

The angle. Compare Gamba's available wide attackers with Cerezo's fit creators. Higashiguchi's clean sheet as suspension cover does not establish a permanent goalkeeper change.

My thinking

Chiba's win gives them something to build on. Mase's one-match J1 suspension is confirmed for 8 November, and the official record confirms Kimoto's concussion substitution. Mito's defensive cover is the bigger question; their previous result still needs the dismissal context.

The angle. Review the replacement for Mase and Kimoto's separate clearance. Dont turn a red-card-affected result into a normal strength estimate.

What im watching. Mito's defensive selection and Kimoto's clearance. Mase misses this J1 fixture under the formal notice.

JEF United Chiba 3–0 Avispa Fukuoka · 1 Nov 2026

After the ridiculous finish at Cerezo, this was badly needed. Himeno scored again, Mae added the second and Goya made it three in stoppage time. Chiba's second league win, and enough to move them above Mito and Fukuoka.
