How I approach a player report

01

Start with the role

Where does he play, what is the team asking him to do, and who provides the opportunities?

02

Check the numbers

Compare rates and minutes within clearly labelled samples. Keep full seasons, special competitions and fresh updates separate.

03

Find the right club

Match the role to a real squad, challenge the route to minutes, then state what further scouting and transfer checks are needed.
